conformity rocks

in today's society, everyone is supposed to be in a heterosexual relationship, crossing absolutely no gender boundaries. if you're single, you've somehow failed at any possible relationship with another person. if you cross any gender boundaries, you can't possibly be anything other than queer, in more than one sense of the word. and if your sexuality deviates from the heterosexual norm, your rights spiral down the toilet. so our society throws the metaphorical rock at anyone who deviates from their standards of normal.
